He was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia. Washington grew up living on a Ferry Farm near Fredricksburg. He had to step brothers and his mom was a very troubled woman. When his dad died he was 11 and his family was left with 50 slaves and 10,000 acers. -

George Washington got married to Martha. Martha and George got married at her house because she was a very wealthy woman.
George and Martha did not have kids of there own but Martha brought in kids for her previous marrige with Daniel Parke Custis. -

George Washington became Commander-in-cheif after Pomeroy turned it down. Most of the Army disbanded after the Treaty of Paris was signed which ended the War. -

George Washington was elected with 69 electoral votes. Everyone that was voting was on Washington's side. On April 30 in New York Wasington said his oath to become the United States first President. -
When George Washington died
He died in Mount Vernon, Virginia. Washington was very sick. He had a very bad sore throat and had to stay in bed. His doctor came to his house and give him medicine. He died in the night and for his funeral he was in bed and people came to see him and mourned his death
