Ground Zero Speech

The nation stands with the good people of New York City and New Jersey and Connecticut as we mourn the loss of thousands of our citizens. I can hear you!" I feel that this speech gave people hope after 9/11. -
War with Afghanistan

The war in Afghanistan began a month after the terrorist attacks on the world trade center. The objective was to destroy Al Qaeda forces, and take down any Taliban leaders. -
No Child Left Behind Act
This was an Update to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. NCLB was Product of a collaboration of civil rights and business groups, was to close the achievement gap between poor and minority students and their more advantaged peers. NCLB Act, ended in December 2015, and replaced by Every Students Act. -

Space shuttle self-destructs
the Space Shuttle Columbia exploded upon reentering Earth's atmosphere, killing all seven crew members. This shuttle was grounded for over two years to add safety measures. Columbia's 28th mission, a piece of foam insulation broke off from the space ships external tank and stuck the left wing. -

This was a military operation, in Ad-war, Iraq close to Tirkit. This led to the capture of Saddam Hussein Iraq's "President." This was named after the 1983 film, Red Dawn. -

Bush and his Vice President Dick Cheney had no problems getting re-elected. Foreign Policy was the dominant theme for this election, particularly Bush's conduct on the War on Terrorism. -

I was actually in Mississippi during this Hurricane. Katrina was the most costly and in the top five deadliest natural disasters in history. With winds up too 174 mph, Katrina caused over $108 billion dollars in damage. Katrina lasted a total of 8 days. August 23, 2005- August 31, 2005. -
Chief Justice Roberts-Supreme Court
Roberts is the 17th and current Chief justice of the United States.
He was sworn in by Bush after the death of Chief Justice William Rehnquist. -
