Birth and Family
George was born to Takekuma Norman Takei and Fumiko Emily Nakamura. A year later his brother Henry was born, and two years later his sister Nancy Reiko was born. -
Start of the War
At the start of the was George and his family, plus many other Japanese americans were moved to Rowher Arkansas, a Japanese internment camp. Him and his Family spent four years at Rowher before moving to a different camp. -
Tule Lake
George and his family were moved to Tule Lake when his parents answered no-no to these questions:
No. 27 Are you willing to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States on combat duty whereever ordered?
No. 28 Will you swear unqualified allegiance to the United States of America and faithfully defend the United States from any or all attacks by foreign or domestic forces, and forswear any form of allegiance or obedience to the Japanese emperor, (continued on next post) -
Tule Lake Continued
to any other foreign government, power, or organizaton? George and his family spent the remainder of the second world war. Life at the camps were sometimes harsh, but they weren't cruel and the people there made it the best they could. -
End of World War 2 and School
At the end of the war, him and his family moved from Tule Lake to Los Angles to start thier new life. They Dad got a job and the kids were able to start school again. When George was in middle school he was student body president and was really into news and help others. George went to high school at Los Angeles High School. -

Starting Univesity
He went to Berkeley University in courses for architecture in the spring semester. But in his first summer he took his first formal acting lessons at UCLA. During this time he got his first job acting, which was to do a dubbing in a Japanese movie called "Rodan". He then decides he wants to go to school for acting, but finishes his learning at Berkeley first. -

Starting UCLA
The summer of 1957, George starts his first term at UCLA. During his years at UCLA he obtained a role in "Playhouse 90" as a Japanese solider. Also he got parts in shows and films such as "Perry Mason", "Portraits in Greasepaint", "Hawaiin Eye", "Hell to Eternity", and "A Majority of One". One of the bigger roles he was cast in while at UCLA was in "La Palace" by Warner Brothers. -
Univesity Graduation
George graduated from UCLA on June 9, 1960. After he graduated, his parents told him that he was to ba able to go to summer school at the Shakespeare Institute at Stratford-Upon-Avon. This was a big chance for him and was glad to have it. -
Fly Blackbird
After coming home from his time in England, George made new friends and together made a play called "Fly Blackbird". Their paly was a great sucess and was bought by people in New York. When it was bought George and his friends moved to NewYork to try a get the roles in the play, like they had before. After not getting the part, and losing lots of money, him and some of his friends moved back to Los Angeles. -

Acting Career
After the mess with "Fly Blackbird", George started to get parts in movies and tv shows to start up his career. Some of the movies and shows he was in included "11th Hour", "My Three Sons", "The Gallant Men", "Mister Roberts", "Twilight Zone", "Red line 7000", "The Big Mouth", and "Which Way to the Front". After all this he then got his part in Star Trek. -
M.A.
George went to school again to obtain a Maters of Art Degree to become a producer. He got this while he was working on movies and shows. In the end George didn't become a producer and continued with acting. -
Star Trek Begins
The start of his Star Trek carrer started when he first landed the position of Sulu. He continued his role as Sulu for three seasons before the cancellation of the show. -

During Cancellation to The Movies
After Star Trek was cancelled George started to get into politics again. He got a seat in the council, it was full time, and he stopped acting. But later his acting career started to conflict with his political career so he stopped with the politics. Also during the cancellation George continued to do stuff with Star Trek, including conventions, and also the role of Sulu in Star Trek the Animated series. He then got news in 1978 the Star Trek would come back in movie form. -

Star Trek again
Star Trek re appeared again in 1978 with the making of "Star Trek the Motion Picture". It continued with 5 sequel movies, "Star Trek 2 Wrath of Khan", "Star Trak 3 The Search for Spock", "Star Trek 4 The Voyage Home", "Star Trek 5 The Final Frointier", and finally "Star Trek 6 The undiscovered Country". After last movie, the original cast had fimled thier final time on the Star Trek set, and the new generation came on to the stage. -
