Since he was a child, Patton read many books about war heroes including the Civil and Revolutionary Wars. In 1903, he decided to sign up for Virginia Military Institute.

George Patton married Beatrice Banning Ayer, daughter of a Massachusetts millionare. They met during the summer of 1902.

On the day of March 11, 1911, George and Beatrice had their first daughter. When the baby was born, she was named after her mother, Beatrice Junior.

After volunteering to aide General John Pershing, Patton has proved his hard work and skill by taking out the guerrila leader Franciso Villa. This has helped him gain respect and trust from Pershing.

Thoughout World War One, Patton was very successful. Unfortunetly, he was wounded during the Meuse-Argonne offensive which ended his glory early.

After acting like a leader in the place of Samuel Rockenbach, Patton was finally promoted to brigadier general. He was then promoted to major in the regular army.

"We have changed from an idea to a powerful fighting force," noted Patton. Superiors then agreed to once again promote him to major general.

On the day of May 12, 1943, Patton got promoted another time. This time, he has recieved the title of lieutenant general.

On December 9th, 1945, Patton got in a car accident. After 12 days of trying to get back on his feet, Patton passed away on a dreary Friday night.
