    In December of 1918 George Patton while across enemy lines with tanks that needed to be repaired. While outside of his tank he was hit by an enemy bullet in the back of the thigh. This ended his participation in World War I

    At various points between the end of World War I and the Beginnig of World War II George Patton who felt all he was meant for was combat fell into various depressions due to boredum. He felt that he now had an "office job" while serving in US military offices.
