After one year at West Point George Patton is held back due to poor grades in algebra. He had struggled with math all of his life but he excelled in classes such as English. -

After five years of hard work at West Point George Patton finally graduatates after rapidly improving his math grades -
Go for the Gold
George Patton was one of the competitiors in the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden he took part in the pentatalon. He finished in seventh place. -
Tank Corps. Command
On March 23rd 1918 George Patton now at the rank of captain was given command of the United States Tank Corps. He helped pioneer the future of the use of tanks. -
Preparing the tank corps.
Throughout 1918 George Patton trained 500 soldiers to become members of the United States tank corps. The tank corps would be very important throughout the rest of World War I -
Wounded
In December of 1918 George Patton while across enemy lines with tanks that needed to be repaired. While outside of his tank he was hit by an enemy bullet in the back of the thigh. This ended his participation in World War I -
The fall of George Patton
At various points between the end of World War I and the Beginnig of World War II George Patton who felt all he was meant for was combat fell into various depressions due to boredum. He felt that he now had an "office job" while serving in US military offices. -

Death
While riding to the airport to head back to the United States in December 1945 George Patton was in a car crash. He was in a coma for several days and died in the hospital on December 21st
