Which made a light bulb that lasted over 1,200 straight hours of continuous light, they first discovered a better material to make the wire in the light bulb, That carbonized cotton thread a good material to make the wire in the light bulb.

Also, If a Chinese person who was in the united states left the united states, they would have a very tough time getting back into the U.S. The Federal Government would not let States make Chinese resident Foreigners citizens.

John’s son, Washington was 32 years old when he took over as chief engineer.

The leader of the A.F.L was Samuel Gompers. Gompers met with the leader's other craft unions to form the A.F.L. Samuel Gompers served as president of the AFL until 1925.the Cio did not succeed in trying to change the AFL attitudes that year 1938. The AFL and Cio were reunited as the AFL- Cio in 1955.

The statue was created by a French sculptor Frederic Bartholdi, the Sculptor was completed in 1886.the Statue is made with 350 pieces,but it was shipped to New York in 200 Crates holding the pieces of the Statue.

These are some reasons why Ellis Island is important.
