King louis was executed do to his unpopularity and unjust actions. He was killed with the other 30000 people who are executed during the reign of terror. -

With the revolution growing evermore radical leaders arose, such as Robespierre and the Jacobins and basically the dictatorship of the committe of public safetyDuring this time between 18000 and 40000 people were executed on the guilotine. -

After the fall of the other leaders the french state took control in 1795. It was soon replaced by self-crowned Napolean Bonaparte who led the french into many victories. -
Napoleans reign 1804-1815
Napolean was the officially declared emperor from 1804-1815.
he is known as one of the greatest commanders of all time due to his spectacular victories in which he was outnumbered many times. -

French forces took a huge beating in russia. their biggest defeat in leipzig cost more than 90000 lives. The French left russia with less than 1/3 of their former army. This was one of the worst defeats in history -

The french army under napolean invade russia and were badly defeated. This lead to doubt in Napolean and his soon to come fate. -
exile to elba and the crumpling of his empire
After his loss in russia napolean was exiled to a small island called Elba. there he created an organized navy and a system for the islands natives. in 1815 he escaped just to be defeated at the battle of waterloo in june of 1815. he was again exiled but to a more remote island where he met death. -

In the beginnig pages you get to meet edmond, his family and his traitor friends. Although the story continues to tell about new characters introduced this is the main exposition. -
Dantes goes to the slammer/ rising action 1 - 1815-1829
1st rising action includes Edmonds arrest+imprisonment and his meeting Abbe` Faria.This includes his education, his oath of vengance and the treasure note: this also includes his daring escape. -
Transformation / rising action 2
the second rising action would be when he made the transformation to the count of monte cristo and all his other personas. This also encompasses the inception of his sworn vengence. -
Bertuccio & Benedetto
This was the second major exposition when Bertuccio described the story of Benedetto. This was when the count talked to Betuccio about his past. -
caderousse gets shanked & Morcerf gets shot
This was when he revealed himself to caderousse as edmond as caderousse died and he continues his vengance. This goes all the way to Morcerfs death and the saving of valetine -
OOPS! / climax
This was when Monte Cristo shows villefort his true identity and tells him all the bad things were part of his plan of vengence. Villefort then shows the count his dead wife and son, before going mad. thus changing the counts outlook. -

This was when the Count stopped Max from committing suicide. He also decided to leave Paris -
RENEW THE OATH/ falling action 2
This was when the count returned to marsellis and made a visit to Mecedes. This also included his refreshment for vengence on danglars while visiting his old pal, Chateau d` if. -
One expensive chicken/ falling action 3
This was when Danglars was captuered by Roman Bandits.
This includes Danglars loosing the restof his fortune and being shown the true identity of his misfortunes. -
Happily ever after/ resolution
This was when Valentine & Max are reunited and when Haydee told Edmond she loved him. THis includes the end in which Max is given the note from Edmond.
