    French and Indian war was a conflict between the French and British that the native Americans were apart of on behalf of the French to take down the Brits, due to France and Britain fighting over territory in the Ohio river valley. It provided Britain enormous territory but led to colonial discontent with the colonists causing tension.

    Reduced the rate of tax on molasses from six pence to three pence per gallons, It also was enforced on sugar and other products imported into American colonies. Colonists reacted with protests, due to taxation without representation being implemented into their heads with all the hardship they’ve been dealing with.

    Declaratory Act

    Declaratory act was the repeal of the stamp act and the amendment of the sugar act, while parliament could make laws binding the American colonies. The colonists saw England taxing them as disgraceful without representation in parliament but overall relaxed the boycott from the repeal, and ignored the Declaratory act.

    Initiated taxation on glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea to pay for expenses for governing the colonies. Townshend acts insisted of multiple acts all being placed overtime. The American colonists expressed these acts to help apply the phrase no taxation without representation again and helped decide to not import British goods until the act was revoked.

    The tea act helped allow the East India company a tax break on their tea which allowed their tea to be cheaper than any other tea being smuggled. In other words giving them all control of trade and delivery as well, and helped put money back in the governments pockets with the tax on the tea. This allowed unfair advantages in the tea business, American colonists didn’t like the act and planned to boycott tea

    The start of the revolutionary war began with the exchange of gunshot near Lexington and concord, Massachusetts. It started due to the taxation act, Boston massacre, and Boston tea party. The American colonists were finally at their end for how they were being treated and not being heard when paying absurd taxes. They were upset with paying taxes and were finally ready to change that.
