  • French and Indian war

    French and Indian war

    War began in 1754, the European countries wanted to gather as much land as possible. This didn't really have to do anything with the Indians. George Washington, a lieutenant who led the British forces had an important role during the war and help to succeed. He was a great leader, he knew what his responsibility was and took care of that. After the war ended, the British claimed that the area was their territory and George Washington became the first president of the United States of America.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act

    The stamp act, required the colonist to pay taxes, such as legal documents, dice newspaper and playing cards for Great Britain. The reason behind this was that the king of Great Britain paid a lot of money for war and the colonists were in debt, so the colonist had to pay him back.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, 1770, when the British soldiers fired into a crowd of american colonists in Boston, killing 5 people. This event escalated tension between American colonists and British authorities, which led to the American revolution war.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord

    This took place on April 19, 1775, and marked the first military engagements of the american revolution war. British troops were ordered to seize colonial military supplies in concord. the conflict began in Lexington, where shots were exchanged and continued to concord, the "shot heard" round the world is a famous phase associated with the battles. in which the Americans colonist resisted the British forces, which caused this event to signal the star of the war of independence.
  • The battle of York Town

    The battle of York Town

    The troops of Britain surrendered to the continental army and the French allies. George Washington was against general Charles Cornwallis. 230-397 people died in that battle. One of Washington's strategies was to build trenches, it was something that you had to dig underground, it was supposed to be used as protection for the soldiers.
