Max sees an old friend from when he was little moving in. He ends up scaring her and she runs away.

Max is reminded of his father, Killer Kane, when Gwen calls Max a spitting image of him.

Freak and Max are chased into a pond when Tony D shows up and begins to attack them with his gang. They get stuck, and police end up pulling them out of the pond.

At school, Max is called to the office. He is told that his father is on parole. He freaked out, and the counselor had to calm him down.

Killer Kane sneaks into the down under and lures Max out, and takes him to the New Testaments.

Loretta tries to free Max from the knots keeping him from moving. Killer Kane sees this and tries to choke her to death.

After his failure to kill Loretta, Max yells that he saw Kane kill his mom when he was young. Killer Kane then tries choking him to death to clean it up, but Freak shows up and shoots sulfuric acid into Killer Kane's eyes.

While everyone was eating and having fun, Kevin starts having a seizure in the other room.

While in the hospital, Kevin hands Max an empty book to write their adventures in.

Kevin passes away, and Max breaks into the hospital and they explain that his bionic body was a way to cope with the fact his life would be short. Max would mope around in his room, and he even missed the funeral.
