Elizabeth catches the scarlet fever and gets very sick. Victor's mother ends up taking care of her, and Elizabeth recovers, but Victor's mom ends up getting sick and dying because of it. (pg.42)

This showcases what Victor's character was like in the first couple chapters. Victor, at first, reacted with happiness, for his creation was constructed very well and was actually alive. However, this leads to his character spiraling into being closed-off from the rest of the world, trying to hide from his mistakes. (pg.56)

After being conflicted with his probable role in the wrongful execution of Justine, he shuts himself off like he always does. When Victor is cornered by challenge and regret, he tends to hide himself from the rest of the world. (pg.89) -

The creature tells how he saved a little girl from drowning in
a river. After he saved the girl, he was shot by a man most likely because of his appearance. (pgs.134-135) -
The creature finally finishes his long, heartbreaking tale about his existence so far. Now he wishes for Victor to create a companion he can suffer with. (pg.138)

Victor agrees to marrying Elizabeth. Victor's Father is worried that Victor is only doing this to please him, but he makes sure that his Father knows that he truly does love Elizabeth. (pg.144)

When Victor ran into the creature in the forest awhile back, he was commanded to construct a companion for the creature by the creature. He is finally doing this in Scotland, and is hoping for it all to be over soon. (pg.157)

The creature, distraught by Victor's recent destruction of his near complete companion is angered. He warns Victor he will be there on the wedding night, most likely resulting in Victor's death, to what Victor thinks. (pg.161)

This is an excellent showcase of Victor's character development in these chapters. Victor was filled with such turmoil as he toured Europe with Clerval. Victor's emotions pushed him to construction the companion for the creature, but in the end, his gut feeling and paranoia pushed him to destroy it. (pg.159)

This showcases the end of Victor's character development. Victor's emotions were always prominent in him. As the creature as destroyed everything dear to Victor, Victor is overcome with emotion and finally swears out to seek revenge against the creature. (pg.194)
