- Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes. He was born on March 3, 1746 in Fuendetodos, Zaragoza.

- In 1759 Goya entered the painting academy of Zaragoza, when he was thirteen years old, and made his first paintings.

Traveled to Italy in 1770, worked as a painter of cartons for the tapestries of Real Fabrica De Tapices De Santa Bárbara.

On July 25, 1773 he went to Madrid to marry Josefa Bayeu. They had 6 children.

On January 3, 1775 he returned to Madrid where he became a Royal Painter.

A serious illness that afflicted him in 1793 and led him to approach a more creative and original painting.

In 1799 Goya suffered what they called the Dark Period, due to different factors such as War.
