The religion was started by George Gurdjieff in 1913.
-
The three ways of spiritual enlightenment are: The Way of the Fakir, The Way of the Monk, and the Way of the Yogi. Basically these ways are paths to follow to gain enlightenment. The point of this religion (The Fourth Way) is taking the centers of all of these ways and making them 1 way.
-
Near the beginnings of his ideas on the Fourth Way, he settled a school where he had pupils that he tried to enlighten through the first 3 ways as well as the Fourth Way
-
In 1924 he got into a crash that was bad. He then closed the school where he taught and instead starting writing down a book with his ideas. (Keep in mind this religion was 10 years old and not widespread yet)
-
Traveled to and through North America trying to spread information about the Fourth Way and its benefits
-
After the creator of the Fourth Way died, others continued his work adding on to it as well as trying to be enlightened by this Fourth Way
-
A group started by his pupils attempting to spread the word of his ways and continue them
-

Claudio Naranjo's teaching.
Oscar Ichazo's Arica School
Samael Aun Weor
