    The Battle of Yorktown was when Charles Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington. This was also known as the last battle of the American Revolution.

    The Constitution being ratified was known as a popular debate within the states. The Constitution was ratified because they proposed a need for a government.

    Also when George Washington was giving the oath he laid his hand on a Bible and it has been that way since. When George Washington was first inaugurated he refused to take a salary when he was in office.
