  • John Hancock

    Hancock was President of the First Continental Congress and was also a very proud member of the revolution and is known for his extremely large signature on the Declaration of Independance because he was not afraid to let it be known he supported the revolution.
  • John Jay

    Jay was a founding father of the United States and was also the first chief justice of the U.S. from 1789-95
  • Constitutional Republic

    a state where the head of state and other officials are representitaves of the people and must rule according to the constitution
  • Declaration of Independance

    Said that the thirteen colonies then at war with great britain regarded themselves as independant states no longer under british rule.
  • Unalianable Rights

    This is the right of men to pursue happiness, which is the right to pursue any lawful business or vocation. This is stated in the Declaratio of independance
  • Branches of Government

    We have three branches of government; the executive which is headed by the president carries out federal laws and reccommends new ones, the legislative branch headed by congress also includes the house of representatives and the senate their main job is to make laws.

    it debuted on the great seal of the U.S and appeared on coins in 1864 and on paper in 1957, it was also addopted as the U.S motto in 1956
  • E Pluribus Unum

    This was the motto of the U.S until 1956 it means out of many, one.
  • Bill of Rights

    this is a list of the first ten amendments; Freedom of Speech, Right to bear arms, protection against quartering soldiers, Unreasonable search and seize, due proccess/double jeporady, Trial by jury, civil trial by jury, no excess bail, protection of rights not specifically in Bill of Rights, and power of states and people.

    ALexis stated these five values in 1835 regarding democratic order, Liberty which is freedom from control, Egalitarianism the belief in human equality, Individualsim the social theory supporting individual liberty an rights, Populism which supported the rights of common people, and Laissez-Faire which said government can not interfere with commercial affairs.
