Elvis was the one everyone wanted to listen to in his time age. Even now people still listen to him just as much as those who did when he was around.     The Vietnam war began in 1959 and ended on April 30th 1975. This war was filled with so much hate and destruction between the U.S and Vietnam.     African American students tried to desegregate the University of Alabama in June 1963. On June 10th, 1963 JFK made the National Gaurd troops force desegregation on the university. Governor Wallace at the time, kept trying to block the desegregation but Kennedy over powered him.

    On November 22nd, 1963 J.F.K made a trip to Texas and went to Dallas so he could build support for his 1964 campaign. As Kennedy sat in the backseat of the convertible shots were fired and he was hit once in the neck and once in the head.     The Black Panther Party formed in california in 1966. They played an important part in the civil rights movement. They believed that the non-violent act of Martin Luther King Jr. had failed. The BPP language and public stance was violent. Two founders of the party were Huey Newton and bobby Seale. They were willing to use violence to get what they wanted. They had four desires; equality in education, housing, employment and civil rights.

    Robert Kennedy was assassinated on June 6th, 1968 in Los Angeles, California. He was am American politician who was a U.S Senator for New York. He was shot three times by Palestinian immigrant Sirhan. It was after RFK gave a speech in L.A. His assassination started the secret service protection for all future presidents.

    It all began when Glenn Cowan befriended Zhuang Zeding, a legendary Chinese ping pong player at the World championship in 1971. When a photograph of them two shaking hands appeared, Mao had the idea of bringing the U.S team to visit China. Ten months after, Nixon visited China. After that we were peaceful with each other.

    On June 17th, 1972 burglars were arrested in the Watergate building in the office of the Democratic National Committee. The burglars were connected to president Richard Nixon's reelection campaign. They were caught trying to steal secret documents and wiretap phones. Nixon covered it up by giving the burglars "hush money".

    Hurricane Carmen started on August 29th 1974, and ended on September 10th 1974. It was located in Puerto Rico, Louisiana, and Yucanta Peninsula. This storm was a category 4, the most intense hurricane of the 1974 Atlantic hurricane season. It was a destructive and widespread storm, but officials feared a lot worse then what actually happened.
