    Joseph McCarthy was a Senator that opposed the spread of communism and he started making investigations on the issue. Although, people thought he was going to far by violating people’s rights to free speech and often ruining their lives by publicly destroying their reputation.

  • Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas

    The Court ruled that the "separate but equal" law was unconstitutional of blacks and whites for public schooling. This event was fit for students can have an equal opportunity in education no matter their color.
  • Emmet Till's Murder

    14 year old African American Emmet Till was forced to carry a 75-pound cotton-gin fan to the bank of the Tallahatchie River and was ordered to take off his clothes. two men then beat him nearly to death, took out his eye, shot him in the head, and then threw his body, tied to the cotton-gin fan with barbed wire, into the river all after he flirted with a white woman.
  • The Vietnam War

    This war lasted for about 19 and a 1/2 years ending around April 30, 1975. Communist North Vietnamese forces, led by Ho Chi Minh, were allied with the Viet Cong in South Vietnam, the People's Republic of China, the Soviet Union, Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam), the United States, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Laos.

    Races such as the blacks and whites demanding their equal rights as human beings. Lives had to be in danger and choices had to be made in order to have these equal rights because of the ignorance of how people want to live life.

    During the Freedom Rides of the Civil Rights Movement, CORE (Congress of Racial Equality) volunteers have sacrificed their lives to ride a bus for freedom of segregation on public transportation. There were buses that rode from New Jersey and Washington D.C. to the Deep South.
  • Assassination of John F. Kennedy

    The 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy and the Governor, John Connally was shot in a motorcade during an event riding through Dealey Plaza in downtown in Dallas, Texas by Lee Harvey Oswald. The former president had died and the former governor had survived for a few years then later died.

    People who joined together during the civil rights moevement and other events for self defense. Everybody in the black panthers were equal in about everyway in their group.

    Burgulars broke into the Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C. on about May 28, 1972 when the act was taken into actual notice, but in June was when the act had begun beginning with the Pentagon Papers. this scandal had ruined former Pres. Nixon's Presidency.

    a Beatles musician was shot after the band broke up. he focused on social activism and humanitarianism. he was shot by a 25 year old man who was a crazed fan.

    This epidemic has caused so many deaths from the this deadly infection. HIV was the virus and AIDS was the disease created after the HIV has attacked your T-cells, makes copies of itself, destroying so many of your cells, eventually death.
