    The Vietnam war was caused by a dispute between north and south Vietnam as the US took the side of the south since the Soviet Union gave aid to the north. Throughout the war, protests against the war arose leading to Vietnamization which led to the north winning the war.     This date marks the first hit song that Elvis Presley released, "Heartbreak Hotel". This song created a national breakthrough as he became a worldwide sensation. His reputation grew as more hit songs were made by him.

    The hippies' movement was created to protest against the Vietnam war. Their culture differed from the mainstream culture as they held rallies and protests against the war.     George Wallace was the governor of Alabama who stood at the entrance of the University of Alabama to stop the entrance of two black students. President Kennedy had to send the U.S army to force the entrance of the students, therefore, desegregating the University.     President Kennedy was trying to gain popularity for the upcoming election by meeting his fans. While he was in an open roof car, Lee Harvey shot him twice with his gun putting him in a fatal state. He later died in the hospital.     This party was formed to fight back against police brutality. They formed rallies and protests using violent protests to demonstrate that they aren't weak. They would monitor police activity and called for all blacks to unite and fight back against the government.     Bulgars were caught in the office of the Democratic National Committee trying to steal files. These crimes were connected to President Nixon to try and find a way to win reelection, but Nixon denied any connection. In the end, Nixon resigned before he could be impeached. This topic is highly debated between liberals and conservatives as they have opposing views.     Hurricane Carman is one of the most intense hurricanes in history. It caused 8 casualties and 162 million dollars in damage. This hurricane hit mainly Louisiana causing most of its damage to occur there.

    President Ford was a victim of an attempted assassination by a cult member. The shooter wanted to make a statement to all those who don't want to halt environmental pollution. Ford was taken to the hospital and was able to survive.

    This was when the first Apple computer was created. Steve Jobs and Steve Woz started their business in a garage and as they began to add innovations to their inventions, they soon became a billion dollar company.
