In 1890 a man named James Heddon made the first fishing lure called Dowagic. It was the first wooden body artificial lure. -

In 1902 James Heddon started Heddon and sons to start selling all of his creations for fishing lures becoming the first company to sell fishing lures. -
The First crank bait
In 1915 Rush made a lure that dove into the water making it look like a fish little bit. other models would float on top while this one dove into the water going deeper in the water. -
The first plastic Fishing lure
Nick Creme invented the Courtsey Creme Worm which was the first plastic fishing lure made. -
the first bass boat
The skeeter bass boat was the first bass boat made. this allowed the anglers to get around on these lakes faster. -
The swim bait
in 1949 Nick Creme made the swim bait. this bait would sink into the water and as you reeled it did fish-like motion making it look like a small bait fish. -
A new compnay called Strike king
In 1964 a company named strike king was invented making the first-ever spinner bait. -
The first bass fishing competition league
In 1967 was the first ever Bass fishing company that did competitions in bass fishing. This company was called Bassmaster. This relates to my product because it took all the fishing lures and sponsors to run it. -
First sponsorship in fishing
In 1967 Ray Scott of Montgomery Alabama was the first guy ever sponsored and he was sponsored by the Cremes business. -
A new fishing lure
In 1996 Gary Yamamoto made a new worm called the Senko. This worm was designed to go through brush without getting snagged and the action was more allowing more bits. -
the chatter bait
In 2006 and a man named Ron Davis Sr. made a lure called the chatter bait. this lure was like a spinner bait just not with the blade or arm this bait was designed to make a lot of noise going through the water making the fish mad at it and attacking it. -
The A rig
in 2010 Andy Poss came up with an idea of a lure and made the a-rig also known as the Alabama rig. This lure had multiple swim baits on it acting like a school of fish. where other lure show as 1 small fish. -
a new fishing league MLF
In 2011 and a new league was made called Major League Fishing (MLF). This is different from bassmaster because you have to be selected to be in the MLA where bassmasters anyone can fish it.
