    Galilei

    Galilei
    Full name: Galileo Galilei
Created the first thermometer at the age of 29 using pressure and temperature, Thermometer used bouyancy, objects would either sink or float in a liquid, Died at the age of 78 on Janurary 8 1642. With all his major achievments he made, he struggled with the Catholic Church over the nature of the solar system.
  • Von Guericke

    Von Guericke
Full name : Otto Von Guericke
Created a vacuum with a generator using a sulfur ball inside a glass globe mounted on a shaft and the ball was rotated by a crank. This created a spark which was used to show how like charges repelled eachother. He was 23 when he made this discovery and died at the age of 84 on May 11 1686 . During the 30 year war he had been an Imperial prisoner in a Fermersleden camp until a ransom was paid.
  • Torricelli

    Torricelli
    Full name : Evangelista Torricelli
He put mercury in a tube and placed that tube in a dish, he concluded that since some of the murcury did not flow out , the space above was a vacuum. He then discovered that the height change in the mercury was due to atmospheric pressure. He invented the Barometer. He was 35 when he did this experiment. Died at the age of 39 on October 25 1647. After his big discovery he never ended up publishing his findings becuase he was focused on other studies.
  • Pascal

    Pascal
    Full name: Blaise Pascal
Created Pascals Law . The law states that pressure exerted anywhere in a confined incompressible fluid is transmitted equally in all diretions thorughout the fulid such that the pressure ratio remains the same. Known for Pascal , unit of pressure. Added to the vacuum therories. 23 years old when he was first became famous . Died at the age of 39 on August 19 1662 . Pascal was a child prodigy educated by his father who was a tax collector.
  • Huygens

    Huygens
    Full name : Christiaan Huygens
Known for collision formula, when two or more moving bodies exert forces on eachother(age 40). conducted internal combustion experiments at the age od 44.Ceated pendulum clock. died at the age of 66 on july 8 1695. pascal encougarged huygenes to write the first book on the probabilty therory.
  • Dalton

    Dalton
    Full name: John Dalton
John Dalton created the atomic theoroy which provides researchers the knowledge to explore chemical composition of matter. Dalton had also published his law of partial pressures called Daltons law. Dalton was 37 when he published Daltons law. Died at the age of 78 on July 27 1844. Dalton suffered from colour-blindness. He had publsih a scientific paper on it and thus color-blindeness is called Daltonism.
  • Avogadro

    Avogadro
Full name: Lorenzo Romano Amedeo Carlo Avogadro
He had written an article that noted the distinction between an atom and a molecule. Avogadro stated that "equal volumes of all gases at the same temperature and pressure contain the same number of molecules" .This statement is known known as Avogadros Principle. He was 35 when he wrote the article. Died at the age of 80 on July 9 1856. When he was 16 he became bachelar of Jurisprudence.
