  • Second Month

    Size increased to 2.5 cm. Webbed fingers, veins visible, baby' heart divided into right and left chamber. Still an embryo so no body changes but last of the embryo so your body will start to change after this month.
  • Third Month

    When the embryo become a fetus. The size is 3.5 inches long and weighs about 1.7 ounces. The face, fingers and toes are fully formed but still cant determine sex. Women notice their bellies getting bigger also.
  • Fourth Month

    Mothers belly is visible and the baby is about 5.5 inches long, weighing about 6 ounces. Baby may start to hear thing and the lungs continue to develop, eyebrows/hair begin to appear. Movement from the baby happens and mothers feel it.
  • Fifth Month

    The size of the baby is now 7.5 inches, weighing about 1 pound. The baby's kidneys begin to function also the immune system begins to fight off illnesses. Women may experience heartburn or indigestion during this month.
  • Sixth Month

    The size of the baby is now 10 inches and weighs about 2 pounds. The eyes begin to develop therefor they start to open and close them. The baby starts kicking more and also is aware of sound. Women continue to gain more weight.
  • Seventh Month

    The size is now 11 inches and weight is around 3 pounds. Lungs are still developing, bones and muscles are getting stronger, reproductive organs start to develop and eyelashes grow. Women tend to gain 1 pound a week during this stage and experience back pain.
  • Eighth Month

    Baby's size is about 18 inches, weighing around 5 pounds. Brain growth starts and lungs are still under development but the baby's body is almost fully developed. Women may experience discomfort in breathing as the baby pushes upward, constant urination or leg muscle cramps.
  • Ninth Month

    Baby's size is now about 21 inches, weight around 6 to 8 pounds. Baby is now ready to be born and it turns its head now ready to be pushed out. The lungs are fully developed now and the baby will continue to gain weight.
  • Conception to First Month

    Size of the embryo is 0.25 cm, the heart is the size of a poppy seed and has just begun beating. Developing also are the neural tube, amniotic sac and umbilical cord taking shape. During the first month it can cause you to be hormonal, food intake increases/changes, morning sickness and urination increase.
