When did he start playing the game?
He started playing professional football for ‘Budapest Honved’ at 16 years old. There he played for 17 years and scored more than 300 goals. Playing for the national team
Puskas started playing for the national team at 18 years old. In 1945 he made his debut for the Hungarian national team defeating Austria 2 - 0. Here he also got his nickname 'The Galloping Major'. Shifting to one of the greatest clubs
In 1958 Puskás was at his prime and getting transfer requests from all the great clubs. Finally after some time he settled on Spanish giants, "Real Madrid". First Champions league trophy
After just a few years with the club Puskás had already won his first champions league. In this victory he was the top scorer also helping with assists. At this point he was a football great at the time. -
Another accomplishment!
Ferenc Puskás then proceeded to win the champions league with another Madrid legend "Alfredo di Stefano." He also won the Spanish cup. At 39 years old Puskas finally retired, but this wasn't the end of his affection for football. He then started his managerial career with Hercules CF. He later managed teams in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Australia -
Being a Manager

Alzheimer's Disease
5 time 'Champions League' winner Ferenc Puskás was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He spent the last six years of his life in the confines of the hospital. -
Death
