Federico García Lorca was born in Fuentes Vaqueros, a town of Granada. His father was Federico García Rodríguez and her mother was Vicenta Lorca Romero.

He move to Almería with Antonio Rodríguez Espinosa but he got sick, so he returned to Granada.

At this time, he became interested in music and he played the piano.
In 1914, he enrolled at the University of Granada to study Philosophy and Letters and Law. He also travelled a lot and that made him interested in literature. -
Lorca published a Book of Poems, composed his first Suites, premiered El maleficio de la mariposa and developed other plays. Also during this stage, he met Juan Ramón Jiménez, who influenced his vision of poetry and with whom he became very friendly.

Federico publised "Oda a Salvador Dalí", a play written for Salvador Dalí with whom he had a little love story. In 1925 he met Emilio Aladrén with whom he would maintain a sentimental relationship until 1927.
