Event 2: Drowning
Cal was captured and when the people who captured him realized he had no infomation tried drowning in a fast filling tank of oil. When Cal was almost fully emerged in oil he was was rescued by someone he never saw. My thoughts about this part of the story where is he gonna get out. Also I was thinking like if he dies now how will this affect the story in the long run. My last thought on this part of the story was who rescued him. How did he get out if he couldn't lift the cover. -
Event 1: Overall Premise
February is a book filled with action. The story has all sorts of action from kidnapping to drowning in a fast filling tank of oil. The main character is Callum But everyone calls him Cal for short. The story takes place all over the place but the main setting is on the streets.Also, Cal has to hide out until New Years Eve or else he’ll be killed. I chose this book because February is my favorite month out of the year. -
Event 3: Making Sense
Cal was sitting in St. Johns Dump hoping his best friend Boges would show up. As Cal was waiting for him Cal kept on hearing voices but none of the were Boges. As Cal was waiting for Boges he was trying to figure out what happened to him and trying to make sense of it all. I can relate to this this part of the story because sometimes I have to take a moment to try to figure out what happened and what I am going to do about it. -
Event 4: Dad
Cal kept on waking up thinking he could hear his dad, but could not fall back asleep to the sound of dogs barking at the moon light. For the rest of that night Cal couldn't stop thinking about his father. Cal wondered why he got killed and why he is going to killed too if he doesn't hide out until New Years Eve. I can not relate to this because i do not know how it feels to lose a love, but I can relate to dogs barking at night. -
Event 5: Winter
Cal stopped calling winter because he is pretty sure she gave him a fake phone number. Cal is going to go look for her because she sais she had infomation about his dad. They were going to meet earlier, but on the way to meet her Cal was captured. Now Cal has to go find her, I thought this was an intense part of the story because it kept be hanging on. when i read this section I Will he find Winter or will he have to figure this out -
Event 6: Seeing Winter
Cal was walking around the streets and saw Winter at Sligo's car shop. He did not want to approach her because he new she would run away right away. Instead Cal walked away hoping he would not be seen by Winter. When I first read this it did not make any sense to me, but then i kept reading and it made sense to me. Winter worked for the other side and did not want to be seen talking to cal in public because she did not want to be called a trader. -
Event 7: Internet Cafe
Cal went to to the Internet cafe to write on his blog. Living out on the streets he did not realize that he missed Valentine's Day so he decided to blog about that. As Cal was typing the owner of the Internet Cafe and startled him. Cal decided to lie and said that he had to get going. My thoughts when I read this section of the book was why is he online. If I had to hide out I would not be going online I would try to stay in one spot until I do not feel safe there anymore. -
Event 8: Library
Cal and Boges went to their local library no one payed any attention to them, which was a good thing. They were trying to figure out what the code 1,2,3,4, and 5 meant but they couldn't dint anything. My thoughts about this part was how could he be seen all the time but at the library they were invisible. It kind of threw me of Gaurdian there for a second. -
Event 9: Hot Day
It's was a very hot humid day, so Cal decided to walk around trying to find clues because he knew most people would be inside in the air conditioning. Cal saw something on the other side of the train tracks. It was gettin dark so he decided he would come back tomorrow. My thoughts during this section I thought why wouldn't he go over there now. What if it is gone in the morning. Later on I realized why and it was to create irony. -
Event 10:Train
Cal approached the train tracks he looked both way and was ready to cross. As Cal was crossing the train tracks, but did see how close the train was. As Cal got to the middle of the train tracks he noticed how close the train actually was. Cal just stood there looking at the train his body froze up. My thought as this moments was really you left me with a cliffhanger. Now I am going to have to read the next book in the series to find out what happens to Cal.
