Interpretation of Beginning
Ralph is a very good leader but isn't the greatest at decision making, but he always has his friend Piggy to make good rational decisions. In the quote "We must make a fire." Ralph is showing his fear of not being rescued. He worries that no one is going to find them with out the fire. In the quote "Ralph! Hey! Where you going?" Piggy worries that Ralph is leaving him. -

Interpretation of Middle
Piggy is starting to become more scared because he now only has half of his glasses. The other part of his glasses were cracked so now he only has half of his vision, which makes him more dependent on Ralph. Ralph is still scared of not being found and rescued, but in this middle portion he is scared of The Beast. Ralph is intemidated by The Beast. Ralph and Piggy have an interesting interaction because Piggy is still being very rational in this section of the book where Ralph is giving up hope. -

Interpretation of End
In the end Ralph has made many irrational decisions and causes almost everyone to turn on him. When everyone turned he then had to fear his life. In the end Piggy lost his glasses completly and he was scared that he was going to fall and get hurt.
