    FDR was elected president in 1933 over Herbert Hoover by a longshot. His running mate was John Garner.
  • The Johnson Act

    The Johnson Act in 1934 made it so that loans couldn't be made to countries who were still behind on their World War I debt repayments.
  • The Neuttality Act of 1935

    The Neutrality Act of 1935 kept Americans from exporting weaponry and ammunition to any countries.
  • Japan Attacks Pearl Harbor

    On December 7, 1941, Japan bombed Pear Harbor's Naval base and about 2,400 Americans were killed.
  • The US entered the War

    Germany and Italy declared War on America after Japan attacked and America entered the war.
  • FDR Dies

    On April !3, 1945, Franklin Delano Roosevelt died of a stroke (cerebral hemmorrhage). His last words were reported to be "I have a terrific pain in the back of my head."

    The War in Europe ended and the Allies won.
