    While on vacation in Canada, FDR was diagnosed with polio Which was very deadly to have at the time. He thought his plitical career was over, but found ways to hide it in public. He had a wheel chair but was rarely seen with it. He went on to fund the March Of Dimes program that adventually found the polio vacein. He never regained full control of his legs.
