    The Internet boom made away for many asynchronous forms of online education. Asynchronous technology is a mode of delivery where participants access course materials on their own schedule. Students are not required to be together at the same time in order to access the information. Eg:Telephone or Voice mail, Audio or Video recording, Email and Fax.

    Synchrous technology resembles traditional classroom as it requires all participants to be present at the same time. Eg: Web conferencing, Live streaming, Internet Radio, etc.
