Evolution of Mobile Devices.

    In 1973 the first mobile phone call was made by Motorola employee Martin Cooper(shown below), using the first mobile cell phone, the Motorola DynaTAC 8000x, the first cell phone that actually went on to be sold nicknamed "The Brick Phone" because of its brick-like shape and heavy weight (3.3 lb).

    in the 1980s pagers became a big thing, pagers alerted the user by beeping or vibrating when the user was getting a call. Also in 1983 mobile phones became available to the public.

    In the 1990s cell phones became more popular and a more manageable size. in 1993 the first tablet computer was made. in 1996 the first mobile phone that had access to the internet was invented.
  • 2000s

    2000s
    In the 2000s mobile phones became widely accepted into society as a part of our culture, and became widely available to the public. In 2000 the first touch-screen ever was invented. In 2002 the first phone with full color display and a camera was made.
  • 2010s

    2010s
    In the 2010s cell phones became smart phones, that had full touch screens and cameras facing forwards and backwards that could completely connect to the internet.
