    A wakes up in a boy named Justin. While living in Justin's body for a day, A meets Justin's girlfriend Rhiannon for the first time. Using Justin's body as an advantage to get to know Rhiannon a bit more, he becomes drawn to her, and begins to feel a strong connection, which is something that he hasn't felt for a long time. This is the first time we see A break one of this rules, as his actions interferes with the life he inhabited.

    A wakes up in a girl named Amy Tran. We see that A is starting to become selfish when he decides to see Rhiannon instead of following the routine that Amy Tran had planned for that day. This is the first time that A sees Rhiannon in a different body. This relates to the theme of love and it's influence because A breaks his rules just to see the one he loves. Rhiannon.

    A inhabits a boy named Nathan Daldry. A becomes more selfish when he decides to go to a party that Rhiannon is attending. He breaks many of his own rules when doing thing's that Nathan wouldn't do for his own sake. For example going to a party, and lying to his parents. This event can relate to the theme, search for happiness, since A wants to start living in the moment to have a sense of belonging, but obviously can't because of his circumstance.

    While in the body of Margret Weiss, we being to see that A begins to become careless, when he had forgotten to log off his email while in the body of Nathan Daldry. This is also the first time that someone has confronted A, and realized that A was in their body. This event relates to the theme of personal identity when Nathan asks A who he is. “Especially because I don't have most of the answers. I gave up on figuring out why a long time ago.” (86-87), in this quote, A explains that he doesn't

    This event in the book is known as the turning point, and can also be the climax of the novel. In this event, A is in the body of Megan Powell. Meeting up with Rhiannon, A reveals his true identity at a coffee shop. This is the first time that A has ever told anyone the truth about him. This relates to the theme of, search for happiness because by telling someone about his true identity makes A feel real, and belong, which is something he's always wanted.

    Waking up in the body of Tom, the twin of James, this is the first time that A has been with a family for longer than one day. In this event, A learns that he is able to control what the person remembers when inhabiting their body. This event relates to the theme search for happiness because all A wants is to wake up in the same family, or relationship.

    A wakes up in a girl named Kelsea Cook and discovers that she suffers from depression. This event relates to the theme of depression as A experiences what life is like with depression, and the difficulties it brings. “Some people think that mental illness is a matter of mood, a matter of personality. They think depression is simply a form of being sad,” (119). In this quote, A explains how many people misinterpret the mental illness of depression, thinking that it is an illness.

    While in the body of AJ, A discovers that Nathan Daldry attends the same school. A uses this opportunity to go and talk to Nathan, and ask him about his experiences of his “possession”. This event demonstrates the theme of alienation as Nathan is isolated from everyone at his school because they think he is crazy for thinking a demon possessed him.

    In day 6015, A wakes up in the body of Rhiannon. Cautious, A tries not to invade Rhiannon's privacy in any way. This event in the novel relates to the theme of relationships as A has the power to access everything he wants to know about Rhiannon, but doesn't because he wants to show Rhiannon that he can be trusted in the relationship they have. “I could access every memory she has of me. I could access every memory she has of Justin. I could hear what she's said when I haven't been around” (190)

    Finn Taylor is a 300 pound teen. This is the first time that Rhiannon has been really distracted by the body that A is in. It is very difficult for her to focus on the inside, rather that what's on the outside. A learns how difficult life can be when being extremely over weight.

    Rhiannon messages A that they need to talk. Meeting at a park after school, Rhiannon confesses that she can not continue the relationship that she has with A because of it's difficulties. She tells A that she still loves him, but the relationship is impossible to manage, and she isn't able to experience things that you would regularly do in a normal relationship. With A understanding how Rhiannon feels, they break-up.

    Nathan messages A for and explanation for who he is, and how he “possessed” him. A finally decides to give Nathan an explanation, so they meet at a Mexican restaurant. A reveals his secret for the second time, and fully explains what had happened to Nathan. At the end of the conversation, they decide to meet up the next day.

    Waking up in the body of Ainsley Mills, A gets ready to meet Nathan again. Expecting a quick meet up, Reverend Poole shows up at Nathan's house. Reverend Poole reveals that A is not the only one that is able to inhabit different bodies each day, and also tells A that there is a way to stay in the same body for more than one day. Sensing danger from Reverend Poole, A escapes just to be safe. This event relates to the theme of alienation as Reverend Poole reveals that A is not alone, and is not th

    Inhabiting the body of Alexander Lin, A likes the life that he lives, and finds that Alexander is the kind of person he tries to be. Wanting to stay in Alexander's body, A feels like he can be a good possibility for Rhiannon. Starting things over, A invites Rhiannon over for a “first date”. Later on, A eventually reveals that he will be leaving Rhiannon, and have Alexander as a possible partner to have a relationship with for since he resembles a lot of qualities A has. They say their goodbyes,

    The day after leaving Rhiannon, A wakes up in Katie's body. In the end of the novel we see that A has changed, and see that he follows his own plans, and lives more in the moment. In the end, A decides to run away.
