    Settlers at New Plymouth recognized the need for government. The Mayflower Compact outlined ruled the settlers would live by.

  • The Petition of Right

    Limited the King's Power
    Established Trial by jury of your peers

  • The ENglish Bill of Rights

    Condition that King William and Queen Mary had to accept.
    They were offered the throne, but had to sign the petition in order to accept the throne.
