    I was only three car lengths away from the president when he got assassinated. I was very upset over his death however I did continue to work in the white house.

    I campaigned for Senator Gary Hart of Colorado in 1982. I told one crowd "The people who loved John Kennedy should love Gary Hart". I very much admired President Kennedy and Senator Gary Hart reminds me of him.
