Introduction of assessment criteria for ESS IA through PowerPoint presentation/text/ESS guide/internet.
Analysing the exemplar IA's provided by the facilitator. -
Finalising the type of method (Lab work or survey) to be used for IA and Formulation of at least 3 research questions subject to discussion with the facilitator.
Determining the dependent and independent variables, sampling techniques, and data collection strategies.
Submission of the initial draft of the IA of at least 2 pages. -
After the discussion with the facilitator, finalise one research question that matches the standard IB requirements.

Setting up of the apparatus in case of practical work or preparation of questionnaire in case of a survey, collection of data, analysis and explanation of the data collected is to be done during the summer break.
The second draft of the IA detailing the methodology and description of the issue discussed is to be submitted. -
Revisiting the weaker areas of IA and working upon the suggestions. Completing the IA in terms of context, planning, results, conclusion and application.
Checking for errors and resolving the issues to match them to the standard of IB criteria. -
The final copy of the IA is to be submitted mid-November. Check for every minute detail before submitting. The due date is not extendable.
