    In 1841, Christian Doppler theorized that the frequency of sound changes depending on if the the observer of the frequency is up close or further away from it s source. By 1845, Doppler theorized that this phenomenon also included light and was immediately met will criticism. Ernst Mach created an experiment that would prove Doppler's theory correct and later allow scientist to study the behaviors about stars.
