Steve (age 15) is a sheltered kid, his parents do not allow him to participate in activities or work outside the house after school or during the summer. In Erikson's fifth state, Identity versus Identity confusion, the crisis is figuring out who he is and where he fits into his community. -
Stage 6
Steve (age 25) has decided it is time to propose to his girlfriend, Ann. He wants to make a home and life together with Ann. In Erikson's sixth stage, Intimacy versus Isolation, the crisis is deciding to spend his life with someone or being alone. -
Stage 7
Steve (age 45) has 3 children with his wife Ann. He coaches t-ball and spends all of his time teaching and playing with his children, In Erikson's seventh stage, Generativity versus Stagnation, the crisis is caring for and teaching the next generation or becoming stagnant in life.
