F. Scott Fitzgerald was born in St. Paul Minnesota on September 24th 1896.

He dropped out of Princeton in 1917 and joined the U.S. Army.

In July 1918 he was stationed near, Montgomery, Alabama where he met Zelda Sayre.

Fitzgerald's novel The Side of Paradise was published which made him famous.
