The East India Company was created to create trade between Britain and India in the 1600's by Queen Elizabeth I. The main language when trading became english, so a lot of people learnt english during that time and it influensed India greatly.

English arrived in the Caribbean with settlers, and a form of english called creole was thought to have started around that time.

The triangle trade, or the slave trade, was a trade that the english did , where they would manufactured goods for slaves, then trade the slaves for other items, traveling in a triangle shape whilst doing the trades, hence the name.

The first fleet arrived with english criminals who were sent to Australia. They settled there and eventually lost their regional british accents which is why there isn't a major difference in accent across Australia.
