While training, Renius injures Gauis, In an act of retaliation, Marcus hurts Renius. Cabera comes and heals them both. -
Slave Revolt and Death of Julius Caesar
As a slave revolt was transpiring, they headed toward the estate. Julius was killed during the battle, along with other slaves trying to protect the household. Gaius was then granted head of the household. -
Separatation of Gaius and Marcus
Gaius and Marcus part ways. Gaius goes with Marius and learns to become a senator. Marcus leaves with Renius to be a legionary and fight for Marius's legion in Greece. -
Renius loses his arm
On their way to the boat that would take them to Greece Renius stops to see his brother. But this is no ordinary visit, he wants his brother to take off his arm because it was useless. So his brother cut his arm off. -
Travels of the Lucidae
Renius and Marcus get on the Lucidae to take them to Greece. On this boat Marcus meets a boy named Peppis who was beat by the men on the ship, who eventually accompanies him on the rest of his journey to Greece in hope of becoming a legionary. Marcus also beat up the first mate, and as a result he had to act as the first mate and do what he would do. -
Death of Marius
During the attempt to defend Rome from Sulla's invasion, Marius was beaten bad and told to surrender his men and they would spare his life. Marius did not so he was killed there and Rome was burned down. -
Sulla as ruler
When Sulla and his legion kill Marius he takes over. He finds and kills friends of Marius. All of his legion in the senate were stamped as traitors and removed from senate. Gaius was captured and would be executed unless he leaves Cornelia. He refuses to and Sulla respects his courage and just exiles him.
