    Mid-air collision and subsequent ground collision at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina. It killed 24 members of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division preparing for an airborne operation. It was the worst peacetime loss of life suffered by the division since the end of World War II.

The Patriots defeated the Panthers with a final score of 32-29. The game took place at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. At the time, this was the most watched Super Bowl ever with 144.4 million viewers.

It is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the sixth-tallest in the world.
