    In this case it was all about are people of African descent that were not American citizens are they protected under the consitution? Dread scott was a slave in Virgina and was moved from free state to slave state and wanted to try for his freedom. The case concluded that all blaacks slaves or not would never be allowed to become citizens and that the Missouri comp. was unconsitutional. The 14th Amendment today changes everything.

    Abraham Lincoln or "honest abe" was the 16th President of the United States of America. On this night while with his wife Mary they were attending a play at Ford's theater. No one thought that the president would be assassinated on his relaxing date night out. While enjoying the play John Wilkes Booth sneaked up in the Presidents Box and shot Abe point blank range witha derringer pistol. Booth then jumped down and fled whith a broken leg.

Roosevelt The social security act this federal law was created to give old age workers along with their families benifets. this act applies to both old age members and people with disablilties. Social Security gets paid through tax payers and comes out of their pay checks. Social security is a big topic these days. your social security number is important and should be kept safe. you dont want that info to fall in the wrong hands.

Board of Education is all about the issue of... is race-based segragation of kids into sperate but equal public school constitutional? is that really okay? On paper it was okay but in the actual setting things were not equal and in this case they wanted that changed. the final ruling was that it was unconsitution and was going to be fixed.

    one of the many social programs in the USA is Medicare. Medicare originated under the Social Security Act. Medicare guareenteed health insurenece to American citizens who are 65 or older. they also cover younger Americans who are suffering from a disability. that exception to the rule was added after they started medicare. How Medicare is paid for comes from the everyday average US citizens who pay a tax from there paychecks. The people on Medicare today are increaseing.

    The federal program provides medical and long time care to lower income people. There are two parts to it A and B. Hospital care, and medical coverage.Each state has its own regulations on who is accepted to recieve medicaid. But the numbers of people who are using this are increasing. Medicaid finances almost 75% of all state health spending. and Many doctors offices and such might not cover this type of insurance because it can become a handful. This all happend under the Social Security Act.

    This civil right act allowed African Americans the right to vote. The 15th Amendment guaranteed the right to vote regardless of your race, color, or previous conditions of servituide. The literacy test later came about which later got states in trouble so they got rid of that as being a prereq to vote.

    On Septemeber 11th 2001 the United States was under a terrorist attack. Their were four suicide plane attacks that hit in both NYC and Washington DC. They were American Airlines planes. In NYC the two plans hit in both towers of the World Trade Center, knocking them to the ground in about 2 hours. The other two planes were sent to the pentagon and was hit, while the other was headed for the capitol building which never made it. 3 out of the 4 planes crashed. Osama bin Laden was held responsible.

The Clinton Affiar about a realtionship with 21 year old Monica Lewinsky was another big press blow out that added to the impeachment of President Clinton. 2/3 had to aggree to the impeachment.
