    The candidate needs to raise money for the campaign so they can get their name out there. it costs a lot of money to campaign and they need to raise as much as they can. They campaign by going the the debates before voting and getting their policies out in the open.

    -Semi Open
    -Blanket
    -Run-off
    -In some states there is Caucuses
  • Political Party Conventions

    For both Republicans and Democrates delagets go to the convention and cast their vote for who they think will win. Who ever gets the most votes gets the nomination for their party whether it is Democrate or Rebublican.

    This is when citizens that are above the age of 18 and are United States citizens got to cast their vote on who they think should win the presidency. if you are enrolled with a certain partry you can still vote for whoever you want.
  • Electoral College

    Electoral College
    When a citizen vote they vote for an elector that want to vote for the person you voted for. This is called electoral college. If the candidate wins the popular vote in the state that candidate gets all of those electoral votes, every state has a different amout of electoral college votes. This means they can win the popular vote but not the election.
