    Smith-Hughes Act passes, providing federal funding for schools.
  • Brown vs. Topeka

    Blacks are allowed in school but they are still seperated from the whites.
  • Congress passes Title Six

  • No child left behind law

    Law passed that says schools are responsible for students achievment levels.
  • Sandy Hook school shooting

    Sandy Hook Elementary School had a shooting by a 20 year old man. Ever since this happened, schools have been very protective and secure.
