The curriculum originally taught mainly consisted of reading, writing, and math, not too different from modern day curriculum, the main difference, however, is that religion was also taught heavily which is something not taught in schools during the modern era.

Education differed throughout all the colonies during the year 1700. In southern colonies, there were no public schools, education was mostly given through private tutors.
