    Fredrick highly influenced the world of Early childhood education. He believed in the learning through play. This concept became a Basic principle in Early Childhood education. This concept remains with his 10 "Gifts" that are still used today.
  • Maria Montessori & The Montessori Method

    Maria influenced and developed a system to educate young children. Over 4,000 early childhood programs currently use the Montessori Method
  • National Defense Education Act

    The race to space can be quite controversial and caused a lot of fear for people including those in the United States, for fear of World domination. This act is quite influential because it greatly aspired the federal government to provide funding for STEAM. It can be considered the start of Federal Standards in education. STEAM is well known and used to this day in Education.
  • Economic Oppurtunity Act and later updated as Head Start

    Helped put low socio-economic people to work. This act implemented many different social programs and helped promote education,health and general welfare.
  • From Civil Rights to Education Presently

    This act made a huge impact on education permanently and ensured education for all. This act became a huge factor in the Federal Government becoming more involved in education.
  • Individuals with Disabilities Act

    This act allowed the classroom and teaching to become accessible and friendly to children with disabilities. This act influences education tremendously, by giving every child the opportunity to learn.
  • Elementary and Secondary Education Act

    This program implements more funding for children in low income or free or reduced lunch families. This program has a big impact on history because it ensures more support for all children to get an education. This program is used in over 30,000 schools.
