Although the school was for German immigrants and was in German. The school was a changing point for ECE in actually starting how things are run now a days. In a way its like some ECE centers now that are language influenced for children who don't know English yet and school helps them learn it.

With federal funding Head Start programs were started for preschool education. Preschool education is just as important as as kindergarten and its important for kids to get ahead so they don't later on fall behind. This program was a great tool in helping that idea.

The Education of the Handicapped Act Amendments, Established a national policy on early intervention that recognizes its benefits provides assistance to states for building systems of service delivery, and recognizes the unique roles of families in the development of their children. Making sure all children can succeed in the classroom is important and we need to make sure we have the right resources in order to do so.

When the NCLB Act was passed it provided funding for early literacy and learning to read so no child would fall behind. Although some still get lost this really helped children start to read and become better readers.

This act provided $2.1 billion for Head Start and Early Head Start. Continuing to fund programs is so important fro them to succeed. in order for results to happen centers and facilitators need to be able to access resources that will benefit the child and more times than not it costs money.
