Factors such as location (such as near a school drugs are found) he or she may have to spend longer in jail or the bail will cost much more. -
3 strike rule
Many states begin what is called the three strike rule. This means if a person has been caught doing something against the law 3 times he or she will face massive charges. Existed in states such as mainly California. -
Michigan
Michigan has gotten rid of the mandatory sentencing for drug usage in the state. -
New York
New York got rid of the sentencing and instead now go to court with it and judge decides.
