Paul Revere warned Lexington that the British were coming. 122 men died in battles. The battles started when the British troops were sent to confiscate colonial weapons and then they run into an untrained and angry militia on the way.

    The Battle of Bunker Hill took place in 1775, early in the Revolutionary War. William Prescott commanded the militia in the battle. The British charged 3 times. The casualties were that the British took Breed's Hill and then captured Bunker Hill. No famous colonists died during the battle.
