    A year after purchasing the Yarra River Dight still continued working in the business of flour milling he had a mill in New South Wales around Campbell it was called Ceres.     The very first steam powered flour mill is located in Melbourne and was constructed there also this happened in 1841. Bricks were brought from Tasmania were brought to Dight after her built the water powered mill. This mill was powered by the river. The water flowed through an inlet in order to make sure it was a regulate flow or when the Yarra river levels were running low.

    The Dight family soon decided that they wanted to sell their flour milling business this decision was made in 1864. It was sold to a man named Edwin Trennery he subdivide this land, this happened in 1878

    The original mill was on the river bank it was unoccupied for many years until 1888 but, when flour millers Gillespie, Aitken, and Scott, worked with the name of "Yarra Falls Roller Flour Mills" created and constructed a new mill.

    The mill race rebuild happened in the year 1891. They used the bluestone blocks from the Dight families old mill buildings and other sorts of buildings. The mill had changed hands for the last time before they would've destroyed it with fire.

    During the late 1940's there was another rebuild and a distribution of 1.5 tones of rock that they had gotten from an edge of the downstream.

    On the 24th of December 1967, there was a big rainfall which most of the timber deckings, walings and rock fill had drifted away. If they were not torn apart they were damaged and couldn't be fixed. Throughout the following year the original timber from the deckings were capped by concrete.

    Melbourne water had recognised that the weir had a barrier that let the fish swim freely around the weir. Fish migration happened in the year 1993. They decided to move the fish that were migrating to the Yarra river.
