Development of Post-Production Skills

  • Bait Tutorial

Locating and identifying the clips. This includes creating what I thought the storyline was. Digital Technology - Final Cut Pro
Made it easier to locate specific clips through the folders in the Bin.
  • Bait Tutorial

Developed the skill to create a story by dragging clips onto the timeline in Final Cut Pro.
  • Bait Tutorial

Familiarising myself with Final Cut Pro's basics - being introduced to the cutting tool to be able to split clips.
  • Period: to

    AS to A2

  • Film Swede

Introduced to Final Cut Pro's library of sounds. Mixed several sound clips to create the intended tense soundscape. This developed from previous efforts as before, there was no background music other than the one given to us.
  • Film Swede

Collateral Swede - Fiddled around more with Final Cut Pro's sound functions. Cut off most of the audio from the clips. Although there was background fuzz in one, we had to include it because we used the camera mic to record the dialogue. We made one track for clips that did not require sound, one track for the clips that required the recorded audio and one track for the music.
  • Film Swede

Exporting and uploading was improved upon. Exported as a QuickTime movie then converted to a low quality format for Blogger to upload easily.
  • Shot by Shot Remake

Improved shots that were incorrectly framed using the Wireframe for the first time. Clicked on the clip and adjusted the framing by dragging the corners for size and then repositioned the square.
  • Shot by Shot Remake

Zoomed in further on the timeline to cut clips more accurately using the blade tool or by dragging the sides inwards/outwards. This removed all the unnecessary miliseconds of footage so it made the sequence sharper.
  • Shot by Shot Remake

Turns out the Shot by Shot remake was the Swede as well. Refer to the previous date.
  • Match cut Prelim

Developed title making in Final Cut Pro. By right-clicking and selecting 'Text Media', it opened up a text box which could be arranged on the timeline to be layered over clips.
  • Match cut Prelim

The colour of the text was changed and so was the font.
  • Thriller

Digital Technology - Camera Utilised the Auto Focus button by pressing the MF/AF button on the side of the camera. Thriller Used to not get out of focus/blurry footage. Would have been unusable.
