    While computer monitors today are brilliant displays with flashy colors, The original monitor was actually nothing more than a system of light bulbs turning on and off to allow the engineers to check the inner workings. This monitor was first invented and made by Konrad Zuse, a engineer from Berlin, Germany.     CRT or Cathode-Ray tube monitors were the first step into modern monitors, using Cathode-Rays inorder to project a simply image. The first commercially viable CRT monitor was produced in 1950, and were still used and improved upon until 2008, where the sales became so underwhelming nobody continued manufacturing them.
